Guitar Instruction By Phil Westfall Of course, I'm always involved in a lot of music projects, but this one's especially near and dear to my heart; a new band formed with Trey Lecky (guitar), Jaques Stemon (Drums) and Mike Stansberry (Bass) where I get to focus on lead/improvisational guitar and vocals at a performance level. Here are 2 audios I just posted on youtube. We had an exceptional turnout of Jammerz last Thursday at the Gold Hills Community Center. As incredible as his studio sounds are, he's conducted live orchestral recording sessions for his scores at numerous international locations.

Phil Westfall is a great teacher and all around good person. He makes his students comfortable while progressing them as rapidly as their interests and talents allow. Phil also gives his students opportunities to play music with others, which is a big benefit to their progress. I've really enjoyed learning from Phil.

Both of my children went to Phil for guitar lessons and they loved it. Probably the best thing about his instruction was how he asked them what kind of music they wanted to play and what were their favorite songs, and then used this in his lessons. I highly recommend Phil for anyone wanting to bolster their kiddo's interest in the guitar.

Phil is an amazing instructor. Playing with him and his group gave me great confidence in music. I have been playing in a 3 price alt rock band for 4 years now and I have an experimental electronic side project. When I was beginning my journey it was with Phil and it shaped me.

Don't let the fact that I consider Phil a friend first, and a guitar instructor second, but Phil is a gui-tar master. He's been practicing, and refining his craft for almost a half century. He has a great ear for music, and the patience needed to instruct. I highly recommend Phil as a guitar instructor.

Me- many false starts, thought I could just learn on YouTube, not really motivated, not disciplined, not sure what to study or practice, not having fun or getting better. Had seen Phil on Facebook, seen his card in music store for more than a year debated reaching out to him. My only regret today was waiting so long. Phil- patient, encouraging, . knowledgeable, motivating, prepared, fun and creative. I count down the days until my next lesson and have a focused and specific plan of attack during the week! I couldn't be happier about my choice for a guitar instructor.

Phil Westfall is a kind, patient and fun instructor. Took my son for years for guitar lessons and he learned a lot and respected Phil and his way of teaching. Phil always allowed my son to pick the type of music he wanted to play and learn. He is a very courteous man and I highly recommend Phil Westfall for guitar instruction!

Phil works one on one with each student, teaching the music the student wants to learn which greatly increases the child's interest and willingness to practice. My grandson has rapidly progressed, his interest and motivation remain high and his enjoyment of the lessons and music real and rewarding! Having been a teacher, I recognize and appreciate Phil's knowledge, talent and ability.

Phil is an awesome guitar instructor. He is easy going, friendly, non critical, patient, and encouraging instructor. His studio is warm and comfortable. You will enjoy lessons with Phil like I have these past six years.

Phil is an amazing guitar instructor, teacher and mentor. He has been a very valuable influence on my children's lives, especially my daughter. Phil began teaching my daughter guitar at age 8 after she had been diagnosed with autoimmune disease and sensory disorder. Music was the one thing my daughter could relate to and Phil fostered that and gave her a love for music that has helped her in every aspect of her life.

She plays several instruments now, but the bass guitar has become her passion and she has begun writing her own music. My son started lessons with him at age 9 and has learned the keyboard, guitar and drums and enjoys writing music as well. The great thing about Phil is that he gets to know the kids and what music they are into and simplifies their favorite songs to play from the beginning, not routine scales or songs they have never heard.

This was what hooked my kids, they were able to play songs they knew from the radio and their favorite musicians from the the get go! Phil has great patience and truly loves teaching kids of all ages. I am truly thankful for all that he has brought to my family.

I've been a student of Phil's for two years. His process is organic and friendly, and he clearly he has a deep love of music and his profession. Without a doubt, Phil is the best instructor I've had in many years of attempting to wrangle and understand music theory and the guitar. Not a session has gone by where I have not left with a deeper understanding of music.

This is due in large part to Phil's friendly spirit and laidback nature. He's not so much in tune with the student impressing him, he's more in tune with the student absorbing music and impressing themselves. I would recommend this talented music guru to anyone wishing to learn how to play from the head as well as the heart.

One of the most impressive things about Phil is his ability to engage my daughter in the music she loves. I have been thoroughly impressed by him, in the prior to my daughter's is a younger girl who loves country music, so I get to jamb to a little Sugar Land prior to my daughter and him tearing it up to Nirvana. He has a real knack with kids, and my daughter very much so looks forward to her lesson every Wednesday evening.

We were recommended to Phil by a friend, the best referral I could have ever asked for! My daughter says that musically, he is very well educated in theory, something that she has become fairly knowledgeable about since she she also plays piano and flute. She has progressed quite rapidly with Phil, I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a guitar teacher. Sincerely, John Stevens.
