The Frisco School of Music staff and teachers consistently demonstrate high levels of professionalism. This music school strives to engage and motivate students to enjoy music as well as foster a love for performing. We are very pleased and thank the hard working teachers and staff for welcoming our family. Thank you, Ms. Elizabeth, for teaching my daughters superb vocal techniques. Thank you, Mr. Ripp, for teaching my son challenging and exciting drum skills in his drum group class. The front desk staff is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, patient and kind. I’ve also noticed the owner actively engaged in the day to day of the music school. She seems extremely professional and kind. Way to go, Frisco School of Music!!

I have my two kids enrolled in the Frisco School of Music and after trying other schools in the area that claim that they offer benefits the other don't, it's finally the Frisco School of Music who has been able to make a difference on the progress that my kids are making. All the teachers have an excellent background and the facility is incredible. My kids can finally play all the music they have always wanted to play! Thank you Frisco School of Music.

From Our Website

The Frisco School of Music/Performing Arts is the largest arts school in the city having taught over 9000 students since we opened in the fall of 2000. As Frisco's original arts school more students have taken lessons here than anywhere else! While you are here researching the best school for you, please consider the benefits of becoming a student here and find out why we are Frisco's number one choice for music/performing arts lessons. Piano, Guitar, Bass, Mandolin, Ukulele, Banjo, Drums, Violin, Viola, Voice, Clarinet and Alto Sax lessons plus our Rock School Band Series - all in one location.

Think "American Idol" for all instruments, and you will get close to the excitement level felt at this year's RISING STAR MUSIC COMPETITION at the FRISCO SCHOOL OF MUSIC. The Competition was held on Saturday April 21, 2012 at the Frisco School of Music's Performance Hall. Music students ages 9-18 competed in two age categories, performing on their instrument of choice: piano, guitar, bass, voice and drums. Plus, the new "multi-talent" category boasted singers who accompanied themselves on piano, guitar and mandolin.

Our teachers are chosen for their extensive musical background in their specific instrument discipline, and for their genuine dedication to teaching. Our Faculty is the heart and soul of the Frisco School of Music. All of our teachers are university trained and/or have real-world performance experience. We have a very distinguished and diverse Faculty representing many different cultures from around the world. Many of our teachers have studied with renowned university professors and famous performers, and bring their vast experiences to our students here in Frisco.

Blue Jean Concert - 2012 The level of confidence that you will achieve performing on a stage is something that cannot be gained anywhere else! The 2012 Blue Jean Concert is the second of the two major concerts that are given by participants in the Star Power program. As you will see, there are a mix of ages and skill levels represented, and different instruments being played Some of the performers are beginners who have just started taking lessons and are playing for an audience for the first time, while other students have been playing and performing for several years.

We teach private drum lessons for all levels, and students may add a Star Power Band for the ultimate music making opportunity. Researchers agree that learning to play an instrument improves test scores, helps students with higher math achievement, builds self confidence, improves coordination and problem-solving, increases fine motor development and much more - including fostering the basic intrinsic value of developing a love and joy for the arts and music. PLUS: Join our Practice Club with weekly prizes and chances to win a local area gift certificate twice each year.

Our Star Power Band series is our most popular series and is also our best value. You meet once a week for a private music lesson with your teacher for the individual attention you need to really learn your instrument. Your private lesson teacher will help prepare you for all of the performance events held throughout the year. You also attend one of the weekly hour long band sessions: Rock School Band offered for your age group. You will have a chance for solo and group performing, and might even be invited to perform at one of the local venues we book throughout the year.
