I offer personal piano lessons through computer video conferencing via Skype or Oovoo, which makes the lessons available to those whose schedule or location makes it hard to travel to a teacher. I also have a camera on my keyboard so you can see what I'm playing during the piano phone lessons. My method is to accelerate your learning process through patient disciplining, acknowledging your efforts and accomplishments, and coaching you through difficult times.The first lesson is FREE. The sheer volume of students I've taught and man hours I've put in has taught me a lot about human nature, about myself, and about what works and what doesn't. I know I need to project enthusiasm on my end to motivate students, and at the same time I am only part of the equation in how a student progresses as a musician.
Live online lessons are proving a very successful way for students to learn. I can listen to what you have accomplished; watch your hands on the keyboard and show you my hands via web cam; give feedback; and tailor lessons to your personal needs and rate of learning. My DVDs are an excellent medium for learning piano, but they cannot replace the personal relationship between student and teacher. I am excited about this innovative approach to teaching.
