Our online lessons program is an alternative for students who live too far or for one reason or another cannot make it to our physical location. We approach them with the same level of care and attention to detail as our in person lessons and provide students with both study materials and immediate feedback to increase their chances for success. Students who study with us in person and online both have access to a growing video library of content in the FHM Studios YouTube channel to complement and increase the value of their private lessons.
You are now able to look at each instructor's current schedule and enroll yourself in an available time slot. It's that easy! With payment and billing online, in the store, and over the phone, we make it easy for you to ensure that your student will be up to date with their monthly tuition. Please call us and let us know when you have enrolled so we can make sure all the information is correct.
Firehouse Music offers a Summer Rock Camp from June up until the performance at our annual recital in September. We believe one of the best ways to develop as a musician, is to play with others in a band setting. Our summer program allows students to learn to work as a team to create great music! Students are teamed with other musicians of similar skill level and taught by our instructors. They choose the songs they'll be performing as well as their band name. From beginner to experienced, we put together a band capable of playing any genre of music!
Jorge is the head of our music department. In addition to guitar he also teaches bass and banjo. Though classically trained, Jorge has played with a number of rock acts, pursued jazz training at Sam Houston State and even spent a year and a half playing with a Texas country act. His playing and teaching experience go hand in hand. The conservatory he attended acknowledged his prowess by inviting him to serve as an assistant instructor after only one year of study. Jorge thinks of himself as a teacher first although his command of the instrument may lead you to believe otherwise.
