Emphasis on developing critical thinking through analyzing the content, structure, and history of musical composition. Solo playing, accompanying, performing in duets and chamber ensembles, music theory, and composition. Our private lessons for students ages 5 through adult are offerred once a week, afternoon through late evening on Monday through Friday, as well as Saturday morning/afternoon. Our lessons are taught in individual classrooms at our school, conveniently located on Roswell Road in North Buckhead / Sandy Springs.
Plenty of outstanding achievers have attributed at least some of their success to music study. Stanford University's Thomas Sudhof, who won the Nobel Prize in medicine last year, gave credit to his bassoon teacher. Albert Einstein, who began playing the violin at age 6, said his discovery of the theory of relativity was "the result of musical perception."
Parent and Me classes are an immersive learning experience. Children from birth through five are like sponges who soak up everything around them. The goal of exposing children to music at this age is to allow them to absorb it and understand it the same way they understand and learn about anything else.

My two sons, now 13 and 10 years old, have been studying piano at the school for approx. 5-6 years. They had the same teacher for their first phase of tuition (~5 years). She had the magic formula of keeping the instruction flexible and systematic, but without pressure. Our two children have very different capabilities and learning styles, but this school has managed to get the best out of both.

In January this year, after a Christmas recital, the director of the school advised us that the boys, especially my older son, might consider changing piano teacher to experience instruction in different musical styles, piano ensembles, and for competition. It was a hard decision, but we made the change. Their playing has continued to improve greatly which is very satisfying.

I value the school for many reasons: It has been able to adapt the instruction for each of my sons; it reviews the progress of students during lessons and during recitals and periodically makes adjustments for the students; it is easy to maintain a good dialog with the teachers and the director, who are both engaged and supportive; and the school has its own recital hall with two grand pianos on stage which we can use occasionally for practice and videos. Finally, the school does not have any snobbery regarding musical styles or genres. It is rooted in European classical music, but it embraces modern composers and popular music too, an important element for us.

Both my kids (7 and 11 years old) have been taking piano lessons at the European School of Music for just 6 months and they have made an amazing progress. They have learned not only techniques but also they've learned to play with emotion. There are some music academies where kids just learn to play notes. The method they use in this academy makes people learn to express emotions through music. Susanna has helped my kids to develop their love for music and has encouraged them to get further.

The European School of Music is a wonderful school. My child takes piano lessons and has enjoyed her lessons with her teacher who is very nice, professional, and encouraging. The teacher is very talented musically. I feel my child has progressed with her talent as well. I was able to see how talented the other teachers and students are at my child's first recital. Eveyone played beautifully. I highly recommend this school if you or your child is interested in learning to play an instrument.

My daughter is taking piano and vocal lessons at this school. We are very pleased with the level of teaching and the results. Teachers are attentive and try to awaken the child's desire to do the music exercises over and over again without losing interest. I am delighted with their ability to find an approach to everyone and unlimited patience. The other day there was a concert at the school, at which even very young children, who had just begun their journey into music, performed with dignity, delighting teachers and parents with a good performance.

This school is one of the best investments we've made for our daughters, ages 5 and 7. They have been taking private piano lessons here since each of them were just 3.5, and we're so pleased at all they're learning at such young ages in just a couple short years. Their teacher is extremely skilled and gifted with young children and is teaching them things like critical thinking and relaxation techniques, confidence and composure, in addition to playing the piano with beautiful technique and tone.

We enjoy the school so much that we've also enrolled in a mommy-and-me music class for our 10-mo. old, as well, and chess lessons for the older two. Highly recommend this school to anyone.

Both my daughters attend this school, and have been able to set a solid foundation in piano (with Aleksandra) and have progressed well over the past 2 years. They have each been able to select a focus instrument (violin and voice) and are receiving a world class musical education. Their lessons are tailored to their individual style and are challenging but fun.

Especially if your child shows interest and natural ability with music, I highly recommend this school to help shape a child's musical foundation and cultivate a love for music.

My 2 sons attend this school for piano and chess. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ms. Rosie, the piano teacher, and Carlos the chess teacher. Both amazingly patient with 2 young boys. Rosie - has been able to motivate the boys to enjoy piano and now they are practicing at home. Exactly what we were looking for and would highly recommend.

My son, Daniel started with this school when he was 5 and stayed with it until he graduated high school. He was active in other areas but learning to play was very important to him. He had a great teacher and everyone there was so supportive. I have said this to everyone."It was the greatest gift I could give him." They have a different was of teaching and we all learned to appreciate classical music. I highly recommend this school. MC

I enrolled my son to European School of Music. We took a trial lesson for Piano with Carlos. He is so patient with kids and knows the right way to teach them. We are very happy to meet a passionate teacher like him. Also, the founder of the School, Angela is very sweet and helpful!
