Ensley Music
Gordon College Music Faculty, flute
Holding degrees from both Mercer University and Clayton State University, Julianne Ensley began learning flute at age 10. Her adult flute study began with Catherine Bull, principal flutist of the Atlanta Baroque Orchestra, then for the past seven years with Christina Smith, principal flutist of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. She has studied in workshops with John Barcelona, Patricia George, Keith Underwood, and Tadeu Coelho. Her professional association affiliations include the Atlanta Flute Club and the South Metro Atlanta Music Teachers Association. In addition to her teaching at Gordon College, she performs as a freelance musician and directs the Ensley Ensemble, a 10-instrument family music group which performs concerts and conducts educational music programs in the public schools.
