Earthbones Studios is a beautiful and safe space where guidance is offered to help those wishing to learn how to more effectively sing, speak, perform and/or play the piano.
Private and group lessons are offered in Singing (all styles, levels) and Voice Movement Therapy. Tonally challenged individuals are welcome! Private lessons are also offered in Piano (beginning level).
Voice Movement Therapy is an expressive art therapy that utilizes voice, movement and drama therapies to facilitate connection to expression of the inner emotional landscape. It is especially helpful to those who have difficulty with vocal expression and/or who have sustained emotional and/or physical trauma. Individual, group sessions and seasonal workshops are offered.

Kelly Close, MA, VMTR
Kelly Close, MA, VMTR has a Bachelor of Music Education in Studio Voice from Montana State University and a Master of Arts in Vocal Pedagogy from The Ohio State University. Kelly is also a certified Voice Movement Therapy Practitioner (VMTR).
As a singer, Kelly has performed in classical, jazz, rock, and musical theater genres, including soloist work with the Bozeman Symphony and Intermountain Opera Company. Kelly has written, produced, performed in and directed two multi-arts productions, “In the Body of the Beast”, and "Recital Beezaro." Kelly continues to write and compose performance art material derived from her own VMT exploration. Kelly has been teaching singing, piano, music theory fundamentals and Voice Movement Therapy for 25 years.
As a Registered Voice Movement Therapy Practitioner, Kelly has worked with individuals and groups of varying populations to help them find and free vocal production as well as discover, explore and express multi-faceted aspects of their personal reality through voice and movement. Kelly’s primary objective is to holistically guide willing individuals in an exploration of self/body and voice in order to facilitate the liberation of creative and authentic expression. In addition, Kelly is in partnership with artist/educator, David Cowan, in providing expressive arts workshops that merge visual arts with musical & dramatic arts as a creative response to discovering one’s reality within the natural environment.
