Mrs. Boukadoum attended New York University and the University of Oklahoma, where she majored in French. She began her study of piano while teaching French at Lamplighter School, where she was trained in progressive positive teaching methods. She has had intensive training with pianists and scholars from some of the world's finest conservatories including The Juilliard School, The Curtis Institute of Music, The Peabody Conservatory of Music, and the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory.

Mrs. Boukadoum has taught piano in the Dallas area for over 25 years. Her unique teaching style incorporates a warmth, sensitivity, attention to detail, and enthusiasm that motivates each student to aspire to musical excellence. April's insistence on excellence is evident in her student's accomplishments. Her many prize-winning students have elicited judges' remarks such as "rare and unusual teaching," "beautifully musical and expressive playing, so well developed in one so young," "superior sounds," and "excellent spirit."
