Consolidated Music opened its doors in 1974 with one drum set and ten guitars on the wall. Most of our customers wanted to be the next Jimmy Page or Eric Clapton. People want to make music and we are committed to helping them to do so. If your instrument breaks, we will repair it. If you need help with a song, we will show you how to play it. Consolidated Music provides qualified, professional instruction in an atmosphere that fosters a love of music. Since 1974, students from all over Barrington, Palatine, Fox River Grove and Lake Zurich, have taken music lessons at our store. Some families have stuck around for three generations of learning!

We've been teaching kids' and teens' music lessons for over 40 years, so we know what it takes! Check out some of our previous performances below.
Our music lessons will help you learn acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, piano, keyboards, drums and percussion, voice, violin, saxophone-really, we can teach almost any instrument your heart desires. We serve Barrington, Illinois and the surrounding areas of the Northwest Chicago suburbs.
Consolidated Music offers top quality rentals at the best rates in town. We check to make sure our name brand instruments are pre-approved by your school district, and our rentals include expert maintenance, repair work, and loaners when in the shop. Our Brass and woodwind instrument brands include Armstrong, Bach, Conn, King, Ludwig, Selmer, and Vito.
