Childbloom Guitar Program of Sioux Falls Geoff Gunderson began playing guitar when he was 10 years old and began playing professionally at age 14. During and after high-school he toured with Wakefield, an 80's rock band. He began the study of classical guitar in high school and eventually studied with Christopher Johnson at USD. Geoff began teaching guitar in high school in Sioux Falls and continues to this day. He currently plays with the Juke Box Zeroes and frequently solos as a classical guitarist in Sioux Falls venues.

He graduated from USD in 1989 and now teaches classical and pop guitar at Augustan College. Mr. Gunderson underwent Suzuki training in 1995 and recently completed Childbloom Training and licensing in Austin Tx. with Kevin Taylor, Founder of the Childbloom Guitar Program. Mr. Taylor says, "Geoff Gunderson's knowledge base and demeanor make him a perfect teacher for young children. He is the type of person I would want teaching my child.

A lifelong redident of Sioux Falls, Mr. Gunderson lives with his wife Erin and has two grown daughters.

Private Lessons
Report
Private lessons for adults, college, and high school students are available during weekday morning hours. Private lessons cover proper right hand and left hand technique, music theory, music reading and repertoire. Virtually any style of guitar can be studied, from classical and fingerstyle to rock and jazz.
