Services
The monthly fee will be decreased accordingly for days that the studio is closed, such as vacations, national holidays, or emergencies. Also, if you are going to miss a lesson, please let me know a day ahead of time if possible. The next month's fee will be adjusted for that absence(s). There are no fee refunds for students that quit before completing the month's lessons, or do not give any prior notice of their intention to quit. I will let the student know 1 to 2 lessons ahead of time when they will need to purchase additional study materials.
There are many things to consider in setting goals for yourself. A teacher observes and watches; I'm always amazed and inspired by the first attempts of a student to play a chord or a melody line. The question of how long will it take may mean different things to different players. I suggest using the following outline to help in this area.
They differ in number of frets, type of strings used, the tactile execution of the fingers, and over all style of playing. Theses differences are not necessarily great, but cause a little variation in how you play. It also depends on your ability to adapt to different styles of playing. For instance, finger-picking style versus pick style.
If you're interested in playing rhythm guitar and lead, the electric is best for you. If you plan on accompanying with vocal or play contemporary finger-style then the steel acoustic is a good choice. It also is needed in most bands at some point, but not as much as the electric. If you discover you enjoy playing classical music, the nylon string is best for solo performances.
