I teach the whole musician. We'll do ear training, cover music theory, and find performance opportunities. If you don't have a flute yet, I will help you find the right instrument for you.

I teach 45-minute and 60-minute lessons. We can't fit it all into a half hour! The lesson rate is $30 for 45 minutes or $37 for 60 minutes if you come to my flute studio near Sevier Middle School, Greenville, SC. I can come to you at an additional cost.

Teacher Charity

Flute Teacher

Hello, I'm Teacher Charity! I was a music education major with a flute principal at BJU in Greenville, SC. Then I did my graduate degree in music education while I taught music in Atlanta.

Now I am back in Greenville teaching flute lessons and working on another master’s in education. My niche is launching beginners and taking intermediate students to the next level. I teach both grownups and kids.

  • explains really well

My daughter's friend was taking flute lessons with Ms. Charity, and we started with her too. She helped us find a beginner flute. My daughter did very well with her, and we were so sad to see her move away.

  • Great with kids!

Charity helped my daughter find a used flute to get started. She took us to a music store and played all the flutes to pick the right one for her.

Charity is great with kids and got my daughter playing duets in church. Highly recommend!

From Our Website

I always treat the parent's money like it's my own and will only recommend truly necessary instruments and learning materials. But the music family should understand that there are a number of upfront and continuing expenses when committing to flute lessons. The largest upfront expense is the flute itself. There are flute rental options available through local music stores, but buying your own instrument is usually cheaper in the long term even if you later quit lessons and sell the flute. Musical instruments fall on a continuum of student to intermediate to professional.
