From Our Website
Since 2003 the Champaign School of Music has helped thousands of beginning - advanced students of all ages to play the music they love. We offer music lessons on all the most popular instruments: piano, guitar, voice, drums, violin, ukulele as well as a phenomenal Early Childhood Program called Music Together ® and exciting performing classes for future pop stars and rockers. Students come from all over Champaign County including: Champaign, Urbana, Savoy, Mahomet, Monticello, Rantoul, Tuscola, Bloomington, and Charleston to take lessons with us.
Our children's music classes are a lot of fun! Playful, rich, and engaging, Music Together helps children of all ages-babies, toddlers, preschoolers-discover their inner music-maker by playing with the grownups they love. Our kids' music and movement classes also offer other important benefits. It turns out that music for children also supports overall early childhood development. Children learn in various ways: kinesthetically, visually, aurally and cognitively. Our method empowers children to learn the way they learn naturally and draws upon high quality music and strategically chosen activities to help them progress through the normal music development stages with increasing confidence and skill.
At the first lesson your teacher will ask questions about your favorite music, aspirations, background, etc. and then create a plan and goals to help you accomplish whatever musical dreams you have for yourself or your child. Our teachers are college educated, music teachers and musician who are friendly and warm and who remember how much fun it is to discover music. We make it a priority to get to know you on a personal level and to become familiar with your interests, strengths, challenges and goals.
