I teach the fingerstyle technique and repertoire of classical guitar. This technique can be applied to different kinds of guitars and can serve as an excellent foundation to other musical styles, but can only be effectively learned on a true classical guitar. Beginning students will be guided through First Lessons for Guitar: Volume 1 by Julio S. Sagreras. Students will also acquire the classic etudes of Sor, Carcassi, Villa-Lobos, and Brouwer, later exploring the rich diversity of classical guitar repertoire from the Renaissance, Baroque, Romantic, and Modern eras.
