I stopped at this place to support a local business and was not disappointed I was expecting the prices to be through the roof but they were actually very reasonably priced and great quality I was also greeted with great customer service! I would recommend this place for anyone looking to take lessons or purchase an instrument

One of my students took his trumpet to be repaired there because it wasn't actually changing notes, no clue what work they charged for, but they somehow missed the giant crack in the lead pipe! Not impressed at all. I've only been there once to get cork grease, quick easy purchase (reason for two stars instead of one).

An amazing music shop with really high quality and affordable instruments and wonderful staff. I came in to buy some picks and found a wonderful travel guitar that is absolutely amazing. The staff there sat me down and let me play it and he was extremely helpful and friendly. Hands down the best experience I've had in a music shop. I'd highly recommend this place over the bigger places like guitar center, it is a beautiful shop with a wonderful atmosphere and well kept and cared for instruments. I will definitely be back next time I am in town and would recommend this place to anyone looking to purchase an instrument.

I love this place! After dropping my guitar (that I bought elsewhere) Jason took a look at it and gave me an estimate on repair. He was very open and honest about the cost vs value of the guitar and helped me make the decision not to repair it. With zero pressure, he helped me look at other guitars to figure out exactly what I wanted, which helped decrease the sting of my broken guitar.

I really wish I had just gone there in the first place! Great experience! I did not buy a guitar today (again there was no pressure for being able to look and not buy today), but I will be back to buy once I spend a little more time deciding on a couple of things from what I learned today after talking with Jason. I've also previously taken lessons there and done a recital there (with voice/ukulele) and those were great experiences as well!

Great shop. My go to. Knowledgeable, large selection, awesome crew. What music store should be.

Don't waste your time and money. The people that work here are just high school kids who look like they'd rather be anywhere else. I recently bought guitar strings specifically for a classical guitar. I asked the kid for nylon strings and he handed me a pack assuring me that they were the only nylon strings they had. I had my reservations on his assertion as the kid could hardly utter more than a teenage grunt, but I went ahead and got them anyway. Surprise, surprise, turns out they were all metal strings.

When I called to see if I could exchange them someone answered the phone who sounded like he was at least 30. That didn't matter though since he said I opened the package that there was nothing they could do. Seriously? A brand new set of strings and you can't take them back or exchange them? How bout you repackage them? It's all good though as there is nothing that I need to do at this particular place of business. I can always find another store to give my money to. Now try hiring some staff that actually care about music and know what they're talking about.

My daughter takes guitar with Bill and he is amazing! We also really appreciate how helpful the young man at the front is all the time, explaining different guitars and equipment needed. The only two things I am bummed about: you don't get any kind of discount for buying multiple lessons or for having more than one kiddo in lessons, however, I still think the cost is more than reasonable. Also, we are on a waiting list for trumpet since the one teacher that will do in person is full. I guess that speaks to how good he must be :

The first and the last requirement of a man can be fulfilled overwhelmingly in a place called Castle Rock near CO-Springs; U.S.A.

Nice little store. Not the largest selection of guitars but they have some to choose from. The service, well. they are present but not interactive or talkative. Seemed to busy to take time to visit, while I was the only customer. Nice shop, stop in and see if they have what your looking for.

My all time favorite place for all things music. Keaton is extremely helpful and fixed my guitar in no time. I thought it was gone for good but he quickly helped. Truly the best place around. 5/5 would recommend

Some people will think this review isn't relevant enough but I consider customer care to be very high on my list of how I evaluate businesses and restaurants. I had a need today to have one of my guitars checked for its electronics and wasn't buying anything. The person in the store (perhaps the owner) graciously hooked my guitar up to an amplifier and did a thorough check. Turns out my axe was in good shape but as I say what impressed me was the friendliness and willingness to help me out. Definitely a store worth you visiting for your musical needs.

Great place for repair! I brought in my violin and guitar for a couple of minor fixes. They fixed it within a very reasonable time. I've bought a couple of adapters and cables. Very nice customer service. They made sure that I was satisfied with the service before I left. They called me or texted me to tell me that my instruments were ready. Overall, great service and great people!

This is a great place to go for lessons and repairs. I have family members that take lessons here, and the staff is very knowledgeable and kind. I have brought multiple guitars in for repairs and they do it well and in a timely manner. The prices are very low, and the service is great. I have nothing bad to say about this local business, and suggest that everyone go check it out!

Great selection of instruments. I like how they carry more than just guitars or band instruments. Staff is very knowledgeable. They helped us trouble shoot a hum we had in our sound system at church. Happy to see an independent shop thrive.

On recent trips to Castle Rock and Denver over the last few years, I've gone to CRM and experienced a knowledgeable, friendly staff and great service. I still tour with the harmon mute purchased there and feel very comfortable asking questions and getting quality recommendations from the owner on sound equipment, cases, etc. This is a solid music shop for Castle Rock!

The music rooms are very small with the exception of the one you can see from outside. The rooms are not finished - exposed dry wall, unfinished pint and trim and the bathroom is disgusting. They stock very little music and have always had to order something which took at least a week to get in and cost much more than other store and or course than online.

If there was another music store with teachers in castle rock we would go anywhere else but here! Until recently the staff haven't been friendly at all. The furniture for waiting is old and well worn and dirty. The store in genera needs a thorough cleaning. Finding it interesting that they are starting construction on a recording studio when the entire store isn't even finished being constructed. The teachers we have used are awesome - too bad their environment doesn't reflect the same!

My daughter has been taking piano from Castle Rockmusic for 7 years or so, and she loves it! I _had_ to take lessons growing up and quit after 2 years, but the teachers at Castle Rockmusic are inspiring and encouraging - I love that my daughter practices on her own. I took a couple of lessons there as well to get a few chops on boogie boogie piano, and Andy was great!

I never felt pressured to sign up for huge packages and Andy helped me find resources to further my boogie boogie passion! I can't believe that little ole' Castle Rock has such an outstanding place for great music lessons and quality and affordable instruments! I've been a customer for more than 7 years and love that they've only grown! Jason (the owner) has been nothing but helpful in both my and my daughter's progression in developing a love for music. He's straight forward and won't give you the run around for anything. I'm not a fan of wishy washy or pandering, and Jason is straight-up - I always know where I stand with him, and have always felt well treated :) I wish I could give a constructive criticism, but my experience over the years with Jason and Castle Rockmusic have been great - so keep it up! :)

Prices are ok - on-par with higher prices of the growing area of Castle Rock. The instructors seem competent and friendly for the most part. If you want to move your lesson, you must do so at least 24 hrs in advance or you lose your money, which is fair. We have had multiple instructors move or cancel lessons on the same day multiple times with no recourse.

The owner however, is the main reason for the low rating. He carries an air of disdain for his customers in our experience. More often than not, he's there sitting behind the register surfing the internet barely looking up to acknowledge someone entering his store. He seems bothered to have to even greet anyone with a half-grunted returned hello, and though I have been in there many, many times, he has never once shown even a hint of appreciation or customer service in return for our patronage. It's the anti-customer service approach I guess.

Multiple attempts at starting a simple conversation with him while my child was in his lesson have all fizzled instantly. On your way out, unless you jump up and down at the counter, you won't even be sent away with a simple "thanks, " or "see ya." This guy just sends a poor message with both verbal and non-verbal communications, which is that he's not interested in his customers beyond the money coming from your wallets.

For these reasons, we pulled our child and have been scouring the internet for another teacher. How hard is it to be affable and friendly towards your customers? If there were another pro resource in town, we'd have jumped to them in a heartbeat. Just because you're the only game in town doesn't mean you get to be rude or indifferent to your customers who support your business.

I have both of my sons in music lessons here. Both teachers have been fantastic. They are both beginners and the teachers are very patient and understanding and easy to schedule with. We also purchased a guitar and a case. The case didn't fit the first time, so they ordered a new one and toll great care of us. Would recommend them for sure.

I brought in a stringed instrument for repair and tuning. The technicians fixed it fast. It's not the first time I have come to Castle Rock music to have work done on an instrument. They do a good job and the price is fair.

For a seemingly small music studio, the place is always busy when I go in. I purchased signing classes for my Daughter and later added guitar lessons as well. The prices are reasonable and the instructors are very good, at least ours (Dave) was and the others seemed very good from what I could witness. It has been a real experience for my Daughter and I. I may be bringing the other 3 kids in when the time comes. Thanks Dave and Castle Rock Music!
