New Mexico-born CAROL JOY EVANS has performed as a soloist and choral artist throughout the United States, Italy and Germany. As a choral artist, she worked with leading orchestras and conductors of the world, including Eugene Ormandy, Riccardo Muti, Kurt Masur, Zubin Mehta, Gian Carlo Maria Giulini and Robert Shaw with the Philadelphia Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony and Bach Choir of Bethlehem. She spent four seasons with the Spoleto Festival in Spoleto, Italy, and Charleston, SC, performing operas and concerts live, on radio and on television as a member of the 24-voice Westminster Choir, with which she also recorded 2 CDs: O Magnum Mysterium, sacred choral works from the Renaissance through the 20th century, and Samuel Barber's Antony and Cleopatra, Christian Badea conducting.
