There is always a lot to talk about when the topic is the guitar. Our beloved instrument, in one way or another, is always fascinating. And because of that everywhere there are websites, online magazines, internet courses, bedroom guitarists who have the right medicine for every problem, neck gymnasts who compete at impressive speeds on YouTube. But the real passion that drives you to sweat on the instrument, to spend those sleepless nights because a lick does not come out as it should, no longer seems to be part of this world.

I am old style, I know, but those synthetic approaches leave me unsatisfied. Where is the real passion? Lost throught the bits of the digital world? Well not really. I find out a place in Rome, where is still possible literally breath music. This place is the Total Guitar Academy. It's one of the best guitar (not limited to, in truth, bass, vocals and drums lessons are on the schedule) school the money can buy. Francesco Fareri, the headmaster, is professional and friendly, always ready to be helpful and all the guys in there are passionate and great guitar players (well not great, amazing), with great expertise.

It's possible to study every music style in a face to face lesson (Skype lessons are available too), publications and tools are set up to give students the best support during the courses. Doesn't matter if you are a beginner or you are already proficient, if you want to improve your skills do a favor to you, check it out.

Love Premiere! Thought I was 'too old' to take up an instrument for the first time, but found myself wanting to learn guitar. Am really lucky to have stumbled on my new teacher, Brian Johns. He breaks it down into bite-sized pieces and I can tell he puts effort into choosing lessons that suit what you're hoping to accomplish in the learning process. Very laid back, but professional environment too...it's one of the highlights of my week and I'd highly recommend!
