Whether you aspire to play Bach or Alicia Keys, Blackbird's dedicated piano instructors will help you become the pianist you want to be. Our faculty will introduce you to the fundamentals of sight reading, technique and theory, and incorporate your favorite songs into your lessons. You do not need a piano at home to take lessons; a simple full-size electronic keyboard will suffice for the first six months.
Our guitar instructors teach rock, blues, metal, country and classical styles on both electric and acoustic guitars. Beginners work on chords, simple songs and melodies, sight reading and theory. Each lesson will challenge you with a new technique or music theory, and ends with something fun - such as your favorite riff or song.
At the Blackbird School of Music, every state-of-the-art drum lesson room is equipped with electronic drum kits for our students. Our instructors teach rock, metal, jazz, funk, blues and many other styles of drumming, and challenge every student with technical exercises specifically designed to improve their speed and comfort.
If you've always wanted to hone your skills as a rock, pop, country, jazz, gospel or R&B singer, Blackbird has the voice teacher for you. Our voice faculty focuses primarily on popular music. Each week, students are led through physical exercises to improve their vocal range, ear training, breath control, enunciation and more.

It's a shame! We rented my daughter's violin for four years with this company.when we finally bought her violin, they said she couldn't keep the same one she's had for years, and she's familiar with. So ok fine, they ordered another one. When we finally got it, it was incomplete. It did not have fine tuners. I asked them to provide us with the fine tuners so my daughter could play it. Austin at the counter said I had to buy those separately.
I said " you're selling me an incompkein item" and he said " unfortunately that's the way they come" I asked to speak to the owner. Austin said the only way to reach the manager is via email. I said "no please give me his phone number", and he refused saying he did not have a direct phone number to the owner.shaddy people!

We have been renting our son's instrument from Blackbird and it's been a great experience. His first trumpet developed a significant issue with the valves sticking and they replaced his instruments no questions asked. The employees are polite and knowledgeable, and work well with kids. We are very happy with Blackbird and plan on having or daughter start violin lessons with them soon! :

My daughter takes violin lessons at the location in Queen Creek (Power and Chandler Heights) and we couldn't be happier. The staff is always polite, smiling and ready to engage in witty conversation with both myself and my daughter! She had a not-so great teacher who was with the studio for just a short time before we switched to the wonderful Holly! Blackbird acknowledged the poor teacher, and made it up to us in more ways than one. We are new to the area and so grateful that we found Blackbird and Holly and highly recommend them for all your musical needs.
