April has taught from a variety of method books, such as Alfred's Premier Piano Course, Alfred's Basic Piano, Bastien Piano for Adults, Bastien Piano Basics, Faber Piano Adventures, and various supplemental books. She believes the piano student needs at least three areas of focus in piano studies, which are the lesson book, the theory book, and supplemental sheet music and books. This enables the students to gradually grasp musical concepts.
