Meghan King

A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Meghan has been surrounded and influenced by music all of her life. At the age of four, Meghan's mother enrolled her in Suzuki violin at the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music Preparatory Department; and at the age of ten, after developing a great love for music, Meghan decided to make performing and teaching violin her career.
In May of 2011, Meghan graduated summa cum laude with her bachelor of music degree in violin performance from the University of Memphis. Throughout nearly twenty years of study, Meghan has worked with accomplished performers and teachers, such as, Soh-Hyun Altino, Midori Goto, Raye Pankratz, Gabriel Pegis, Paul Kanter, and Stephen Clapp. In addition to her roles with Appassionato Strings, Meghan serves on the violin faculty and as Assistant Director of Development for Allegro Music Classes (AMC) - directed by Raye & MaryEllen Pankratz in Indianapolis, IN.
Meghan currently teaches ten students - ages 5-11 - with AMC. Meghan seeks to share the life-long gift of music with every student she works with and every person who hears her perform.
