In high school, she was a member of various music groups including the Patel Conservatory Youth Orchestra. She also competed in the FACCS Fine Arts competition several years in a row, in which she won 1st place twice, proceeding to the National Competition to receive 1st place her senior year. It was back in 2004, while still in high school, that Angela began teaching flute and piano lessons and decided to pursue a career in teaching.

She then moved to Greenville, South Carolina, where she earned a Bachelors degree in Music Education at Bob Jones University, and is currently pursuing a Master of Music Education degree. While at BJU, she has served as principal flutist with the Symphonic Wind Band, University Symphony Orchestra, Collegium Musicum, and Woodwind Choir. She recently spent a week in Tennessee to earn Suzuki Flute certification, and she is excited about the possibility of beginning a Suzuki flute program in Greenville.

My daughter loves working with Angela! She has done an excellent job of preparing Kate for CYS auditions, and she is so sweet and encouraging, that Kate has now done two recitals and even played the piano in the last one! Kate had refused to do recitals with her previous teacher! Thanks, Angela, and keep up the good work!

Angela has been an excellent teacher. She is patient and kind with our beginner flutist. Her experience shows both in music knowledge and helpful tips for smaller players. We have been thrilled to have her.
