Andy Owings Music Center at Coastal Grande Mall in Myrtle Beach is a great place to go for all things music gear and more. I really like their selection and prices that they have available here. I have been happy with all of the purchases that I have made from here.

I went there to try and fix a guitar I asked where the strings where they didn't even help me look they just told me where to go and there a lot of strings so I didn't know which was for my guitar and they couldn't even fix my guitar when I got home I fixed it up instead of wasting 35 dollars when I did it. And it works fine like new I won't be going here anymore. Bad services!

Horrible. The worst treatment I've ever received anywhere in my life as a customer. Walked into empty store (nobody else shopping at the time). I need about $3,000 worth of new equipment from drums, cymbals, harmonicas, microphones, etc. I found a demo stick and tested a few cymbals, even though there's not much of a selection. Then a snare drum caught my eye so I struck the drum with the stick, which is the only possible way to find out what the instrument sounds like.

It was one drum and one single drum stick - wasn't like I was playing a drum solo or anything. Suddenly an employee, possibly the owner, came rushing over very hostile with a nasty attitude. He scolded me as if I were a 9 year old child with no money just looking to toy around. Told me I needed to quit making noise as per policy of the mall. Despite being confronted with such hostility, I managed to remain positive, hopeful this guy could lighten up and engage in a more professional & respectful manner.

I politely asked if there was a more convenient area where I could demo a couple pieces of equipment without any problem? He said, "No. Most customers do their homework first before coming into our store. So they already know something about what they're buying and don't cause a disturbance". That is an exact quote. Appalling to say the least! I've worked in music stores before and never had any customer pick a $700 snare drum off the floor and bring it directly to checkout.

Even if it's the exact size, shape, brand someone's looking for. every instrument is unique. so the ability to "try it out" is crucial to any musician. I thought music stores existed for this purpose? Call me crazy, but I wouldn't expect to go to a sporting goods store and not be allowed to try on running shoes. Apparently, Andy Owings Music Center doesn't need my money. So, instead of getting into an argument with this toxic store manager, I simply walked out. It's very easy to find better prices, service and selection anywhere else. Goodbye!

Very helpful staff. Clean and many options for all instruments. If you're in need of knowledge this is the place to go.

Sent my son in to pick out his Christmas present tonight 12/19/2021 around 4:30. He asked to play a guitar to see how it played ( PRS Silver Sky $2500). Guy gets it down and gets son plugged in and in less than 10 minutes different guy comes over and asks son if he was ready to buy it and when my son said " I wish" Salesman asked "how much longer he was planning to play it because it is a $2500 guitar and whoever is going to buy it doesn't want a overplayed no longer brand new guitar. " So my son handed it back to him. Disappointed, it was the First time he had ever seen a Silver Sky in person after longing to play one since they came out.

I guess a rude salesman just cost you dudes a sale from a customer that traveled 4 hours to your store just to leave with a sour taste in his mouth. Not spending a dime on ANYTHING with this store didn't even purchase string on the way out. Moral of the story, just because a customer is young doesn't mean they don't have buying power.

I must say this is the best music store I have ever been a customer in. I was struggling to find the proper guitar for me, and Brian would help me beyond any expectations for customer service. After additional assistance from Andy Jr. and Oscar I left with an amazing Fender Nashville Player Pro! Brian helped me my previous visit with a Martin acoustic. Brian went far beyond what is necessary to make sure I was a happy customer. I highly recommend this store and ask folks to buy local. Thanks guys!

This is a well equipped music store tons of guitars, amps, percussion and a separate Store with acoustic pianos. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. What drives me crazy is their website it lists, for example 4 electric guitars and 2 acoustic guitars when you get to the store there are at least 70 electric guitars from budget to high end pro instruments and a separate acoustic room with at least 50 or more. After looking at the website I almost didn't take the 1 hr drive but glad I did they had exactly what I wanted at a fair price.

Been practicing daily and it was time to get my first guitar. Joey I believe answered my questions and helped me pick the right setup for my level and style. I got it home and I can't stop smiling. Thank you for your help!

If you are looking for good prices, good variety, and good customer service, this is the store to go to. Two repairs, two trade INS, several pieces of equipment and many hours in that store and not one bad experience. They have called the manager while he was off the clock to answer a question. Fixed an instrument while I waited and had no issues with me testing amps with my own bass (not that they should but only one other store didn't have an issue with that so wow). I send everyone to them, and drive two hours to visit them past a store that's ten minutes from my house
