From Our Website
At Amadeus, located in Chappaqua and St. Matthew's Church in Bedford, we want to ignite your child's passion for music! Through a program of private lessons, ensembles, and theory classes, we lay the groundwork for your child's success in developing expertise in his/her instrument. Our teachers are dedicated to not only helping your child advance and excel in their chosen instrument, but to imbue them with the joyful connection to music that comes from actually playing classical music. We want every student to experience the happiness that comes from learning to play an instrument or sing well.
From classical training to rock and roll fun, students have the opportunity to study a variety of musical periods and styles, while benefiting from the individual attention that a private lesson offers. NYSSMA (New York State School Music Association) prep is included in all private lessons. After an initial meeting with the our school Director, one of our teachers is carefully matched to the student in order meet his or her individual needs, personality and musical aspirations. Together, the student, family and teacher identify a specific course of study.
The quality of the teaching and a good relationship is at the heart of a successful student. Our school is home to an award-winning faculty, with teachers from ten countries who are graduates of some of the most respected musical institutions in the world, including the Juilliard School, the Curtis Institute, the Paris Conservatory, Manhattan School of Music, Mannes College of Music, the Leningrad Conservatory, the Moscow Conservatory, Yale University, the New England Conservatory, the Peabody Conservatory, Berklee College of Music, Indiana University, Cleveland Institute, and Columbia University Teachers College.
