Some of Indian classical music's brightest performers are joining together to celebrate Maestro Ali Akbar Khan's 100th birthday. These performances will be hosted online by the Ali Akbar College of Music-a non-profit organization seeking to spread the teachings of this ancient tradition to any and all who wish to learn. The AACM Instrumental Scholarships have been created to provide funding to students showing great promise and dedication in the art of North Indian classical instrumental music. The scholarships cover partial to full tuition for one eight-week session. The classes are taught by Alam Khan, son of the late legendary Sarode Maestro Ali Akbar Khan.
The AACM Tabla Scholarships have been created to provide funding to students showing great promise and dedication. Each student will receive one term of study through AACM free of charge. Grantees will be allowed to take classes beginning at the start of our next session - Summer Session - or the following Fall Session, 2019.
